Short and long stories.

Society.

These are a couple of stories that I have written . They're all good well at least I think so =)

Let's talk about society. I'm an African-American with ancestral roots of all kinds. In my eyes Society can't accept the fact that you have to look beyond what you see in front of you. For example let's say there are 2  people a man and a woman, 2 complete strangers each of them between the ages of 20-24 and the both are students at a local college.
One day the man, Let's say  the man is late for class, and he is running, not actually running but jogging through the halls, to get there on time, as he's on his way to class he runs into this beautiful young woman, he stops and introduces himself. The young woman, startled and confused, says "hi". This is the first time that this has happened to her. He explains to her that he's late for class, and  that he'd love to stay and chat but has to get going because he's late. To his surprise she offers to walk him to his class. A little bewildered he accepts. Time passes, let's say, 3 to 4 months and the man and the young woman have become very close to each other.  They seemed to be made for each other, both of them had strong values on life and both of them agreed on almost everything. They were not boy & girlfriend yet, In his and her eyes though, it was soon to come.  A little more time passes about 2 more months, Everything between the two was still good, but now every time they spoke together, there seemed to be a little bit of society stringing into their minds. Little by little society spread, like a pestilence, through their bodies, taking over their judgments, taking over their reactions.  The 2 of them now looked upon each other as rejects of society; For 5 months they were people. Now all they are is a
Black Man and a Mexican Woman.
Society is a pestilence slowly but surely, whether it be 5 months, or 5 years, it will take you under it's wings and your life will never be the same.
These are my views on Society, In my eyes Society labels you as a word not as a human being.
     You're a Nigger
     You're a Wetback
     You're a Chink
     You're a Spick
The list goes on.  All these terms came from Society.  Society, since the dawn of time has set the rules on how we live our lives. Live not under Society's shadow, but as an individual, as a person, as a
"Human Being"

(These are my thought's on Society. Based on a true experience.)

The Young Prince.

Once upon a time in a land not to far from here. There lived a young prince. His name was….well let's leave that to your imagination.
This prince was as spoiled as could be. Everything that he wanted  he received,  Everything that needed to be done was done for him. He never worked one day of his life. He never dirtied his hands once. Since everything was handed to him. The prince was as happy as could be, so he thought.
One day the prince went out for a little stroll around the neighborhood. When he came across a elderly woman,  the woman asked him "Excuse me young prince, can you please direct me to the wall market?, I'm sort of lost can you please help me?" The young prince being as spoiled as he was replied "I do not talk to people who are not of the royal family" The elderly woman smiled and said "I see, so you are not going to help me to the wall marker? Right?" "That's right " the young prince barked.  With pain in her heart the elderly woman looked up at the young prince and said "Your heart is as cold as ice, one day you will wish that you have helped me." with this the elderly woman disappeared . The young prince startled and shocked at what just happened walked back to the castle.
Weeks go by and the young prince soon forgets what the elderly woman told him.  He lives his life the way that he always had, being spoiled.
A year has passed since that day and the young prince has completely forgot about the elderly woman. And he still treats people the same way,  well this day the young prince decides to go horse back riding in the forest near his castle.  He was riding along his horse when his horse fell in a crevice and broke it's leg, throwing the prince in the revene  near the edge of the forest, The young prince knows of this place, since it's crawling with jackals and coyote's. Stuck in the revene the young prince starts to yell for help, until he hears the growl of the jackals and coyote's terrified for his life he tries to climb out but to no avel. Death is at hand, but then he hears a soft voice from the Jackal  "Your heart is as cold as Ice...You don't deserve to live"
With that the jackal pounces on the young prince ripping him to pieces, with his last breath the young prince yells " I'm sorry for not helping you!"  The jackal replies" I do not speak to roality "
