Let's talk about society. I'm an African-American with ancestral roots of all kinds. In my eyes Society can't accept the fact that you have to look beyond what you see in front of you. For example let's say there are 2 people a man and a woman, 2 complete strangers each of them between the ages of 20-24 and the both are students at a local college. One day the man, Let's say the man is late for class, and he is running, not actually running but jogging through the halls, to get there on time, as he's on his way to class he runs into this beautiful young woman, he stops and introduces himself. The young woman, startled and confused, says "hi". This is the first time that this has happened to her. He explains to her that he's late for class, and that he'd love to stay and chat but has to get going because he's late. To his surprise she offers to walk him to his class. A little bewildered he accepts. Time passes, let's say, 3 to 4 months and the man and the young woman have become very close to each other. They seemed to be made for each other, both of them had strong values on life and both of them agreed on almost everything. They were not boy & girlfriend yet, In his and her eyes though, it was soon to come. A little more time passes about 2 more months, Everything between the two was still good, but now every time they spoke together, there seemed to be a little bit of society stringing into their minds. Little by little society spread, like a pestilence, through their bodies, taking over their judgments, taking over their reactions. The 2 of them now looked upon each other as rejects of society; For 5 months they were people. Now all they are is a Black Man and a Mexican Woman. Society is a pestilence slowly but surely, whether it be 5 months, or 5 years, it will take you under it's wings and your life will never be the same. These are my views on Society, In my eyes Society labels you as a word not as a human being. You're a Nigger You're a Wetback You're a Chink You're a Spick The list goes on. All these terms came from Society. Society, since the dawn of time has set the rules on how we live our lives. Live not under Society's shadow, but as an individual, as a person, as a "Human Being"
(These are my thought's on Society. Based on a true experience.)
